summer’s end bouquets
September 15, 2011
an abrupt change in the weather has us all shivering, and me embracing long underwear and fingerless gloves. the crops all still look beautiful though — even the basil survived last night’s near freezing low. today i harvested celeriac for winter shares, sorted what might be the last mountain of tomatoes, picked raspberries and cut and arranged flowers to sell at the CSA pickup this afternoon. we’re on week 15 — five more to go!
